ZEB

Zero-Energy Building (ZEB)

Built Japan’s first ZEB

Seicho-no-Ie’s “Office in the Forest” was constructed as Japan’s first ZEB, designed to minimize annual energy consumption during the operational phase through energy conservation measures and to achieve net-zero energy consumption through energy generation from solar power and biomass. Furthermore, at the Office in the Forest, electricity used for electric microbuses and electric vehicles used for commuting is also supplied by the electricity generated at the office itself. We are also promoting the construction of ZEBs in conjunction with the rebuilding of domestic missionary centers and training centers.
