About Seicho-No-Ie

Having being enlightened to the truth that ¨human beings are children of God” after a long journey devoted to seeking the truth, Masaharu Taniguchi (1893-1985), the founder of Seicho-No-Ie, began publishing a monthly magazine called Seicho-No-Ie in 1930 to spread the joy of the enlightenment. That was how Seicho-No-Ie started.

Many of the readers were awakened to their true nature as “a human being-child of God,” overcame various problems in their lives and were led to a life of happiness. Those readers talked about Seicho-No-Ie to their friends and acquaintances spontaneously, spreading the teachings even further.

And so, the “Humanity Enlightenment Movement,” which Rev. Masaharu Taniguchi launched in order to enlighten all aspects of the human life, has been passed on to Masanobu Taniguchi (1951-), the current Seicho-No-Ie President, who’s spreading the movement not only within Japan, but throughout North, Central, and South America, Asia, Oceania, and Europe as the “International Peace by Faith Movement” to bring world peace through faith in God of only goodness.

Today, as a result of humankind using technology to the point of overstimulating economic activities and going beyond the limits of what nature can tolerate, both nature and humans are in a situation where it’s difficult to live happily. Because of that, Seicho-No-Ie is advancing towards building the foundation of a “new civilization” based on the teaching “God, nature, and human beings are in essence one.”
