Principal Image | While the principal image of Seicho-No-Ie may be called the Seicho-No-Ie-no-O-Kami (Lord of Seicho-No-Ie), Seicho-No-Ie is another name of the Great Universe and it is deemed to be the responding manifestation or personification of the noumenon of the Great Universe or the one absolute God. Any principal image for salvation in true religions, whatever the name of God or Buddha, is worshiped as the principal image of this Religion. In Seicho-No-Ie we do not create a statue to manifest our principal image. Instead, a writing of “Jisso” is put up to worship “Jisso” (the True Image) which lies behind the principal image of every religion. |
