Japan---The Ceremony of Laying the Roof for the “Office in the Forest”
On July 11, the ceremony of laying the roof was held at the site of the Seicho-No-Ie “Office in the Forest” currently under construction in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture with the attendance of Rev. Masanobu Taniguchi, President of Seicho-No-Ie; and Mrs. Junko Taniguchi, President of Seicho-No-Ie White Dove Association.
Brazil---Brazil Hozo Shrine Festival
In Brazil, the 56th Brazil Hozo Shrine Festival and the 28th Memorial Service for the Neglected Souls of Aborted Children at the National Memorial Tower were held from April 14 to 15 at the Brazil Hozo Shrine in Ibiuna, Sao Paulo. The number of soul registers installed was 2,502,798.
Brazil---Junior Speech Contest
n Brazil, a National Junior Story Telling/Youth Speech Contest (Portuguese) was held on April 22 at the Brazil Missionary Headquarters in Sao Paulo. The number of participants totaled 191. A preliminary contest was held at each missionary area and those who were chosen presented at the national contest.
Germany---The 22nd Europe Leaders’ Workshop
The 22nd Europe Leaders’ Workshop was held from March 30 to April 1 at a youth hostel in Mainz, Germany. Forty-eight leaders from across Europe studied the Truth together. The breakdown of the attendees by country of residence was 21 for Germany, 6 for France, 7 for England, 2 for Austria,
Australia---Readers’ Meeting
In Australia, a Readers’ Meeting was held on March 24 at the Vibe Hotel North Sydney and was attended by 16 people, including six newcomers. This was an increase of two people over the previous time. The breakdown of the attendees by country of origin was 8 for Brazil, 2 for Australia, 1 for China and 5 for Japan.
