Ground Breaking Ceremony Held at “Office in the Forest” Housing Sites

On March 14, a ground breaking ceremony was held for the four of the seven sites in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, where employee housing facilities will be built in connection with the “Office in the Forest.” The Ceremony took place at the property for the east oizumi housing in front of the Oizumi Station. A total of 20 people attended: from Seicho-No-Ie Rev. Kazuo Isobe, Chairman and CEO of Seicho-No-Ie; Vice Chairman, Seicho-No-Ie Missionary Councilors and officers; and from the design and construction companies directors and those concerned with the project. The Ceremony started at 10:30 a.m. A priest from the local shrine, Hemi Shrine served as the Chief Priest. The ceremony proceeded amid a solemn atmosphere and ended 35 minutes later.

Prior to this, in early March Japanese larches and birches were cut down. The cuttings will be used in the future as fuel at the housing sites.
