The 83rd Seicho-No-Ie Founding Day Celebration and Ceremony to Commemorate the Seicho-No-Ie Presidency Succession was held from 10:00 a.m. on March 1 at the Seicho-No-Ie Headquarters in Harajuku, Tokyo. Rev. Masanobu Taniguchi, President of Seicho-No-Ie, gave a 20-minute address from 10:40 a.m. in his capacity as the Superintendent.
On March 20, the Spring Memorial Service for Deceased Distinguished Propagators was held at the Seicho-No-Ie Headquarters in Harajuku, Tokyo. Rev. Masanobu Taniguchi, President of Seicho-No-Ie, served as the Chief Priest. Mrs. Junko Taniguchi, President of Seicho-No-Ie While Dove Association, was also present.
On March 14, a ground breaking ceremony was held for the four of the seven sites in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, where employee housing facilities will be built in connection with the “Office in the Forest.” The Ceremony took place at the property for the east oizumi housing in front of the Oizumi Station.
Last December, a thousand paper cranes made by American followers and a donation in the amount of 400,000 yen were sent from the Seicho-No-Ie United States Missionary Headquarters to the missionary areas struck by the Great East Japan Earthquake:
