The fact that Seicho-No-Ie, a religious juridical person, acquired ISO14001 certification of its 66 missionary centers, spiritual training centers, and other sites in Japan by March 2008 was introduced in the July-August 2008 issue of the ISO Management Systems (A-4 size, color), the magazine published by the ISO Headquarters.
The 53rd Hozo Shrine Urabon Memorial Festival was solemnly held from August 17 to 19 at the Seicho-No-Ie Uji Temple in Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture.
In Brazil, a Divinity Development Junior Spiritual Training Seminar (Portuguese and Japanese) was held at two Spiritual Training Centers from July 18 to 27. The number of participants totaled 789.
The 24th Europe Spiritual Training Seminar was held from July11 to 13 at a youth hostel in Bad Kissingen in central Germany. A total of 38 people from Germany, Austria, France and Sweden participated.
A Seicho-No-Ie Republic of China Spiritual Training Seminar for College, Professional and High School Students was held from July 4 to 6 at the Jinshan Youth Center in Taipei. The theme of the Seminar was “In Order to Build Better Human Relations.”
In Hong Kong, four events were held in Japanese and Chinese from June 13 to 15 at the meeting place of Seicho-No-Ie Hong Kong Readers’ Meeting, Inc. (Representative: Mrs. Machiko Kwok) in Kowloon. The events included a Readers’ Meeting, a Parents’ Study Class and a Readers’ Meeting for Leaders.
In the Republic of Korea, eating meat is popular today, so it is not easy to propose no-meat diet. However, with the construction of the Kwang Myong Hoy building in 2002, we now have a kitchen in the building and can cook our own food.
As announced in the Movement Policy since 2007, the International Headquarters opened the Seicho-No-Ie International Headquarters website (English version) in July of this year.
