Japan---Memorial Service for Rev. Masaharu Taniguchi

The 23rd-Year Memorial Service for Rev. Masaharu Taniguchi was solemnly held on June 17 at the Taniguchi Family Monument in the Seicho-No-Ie Main Temple in Nagasaki Prefecture. Rev. Masanobu Taniguchi, Vice President of Seicho-No-Ie, addressed about 850 attendees.

Brazil---Daily Prayers Published in Portuguese

The Portuguese translation of the Hibi no Inori—Kami, Shizen, Ningen no Chowa o Inoru (Daily Prayers—Prayers for Grand Harmony of God, Nature and Man) by Rev. Masanobu Taniguchi, Vice President of Seicho-No-Ie, has been recently published by the Brazil Missionary Headquarters under the title, Oracoes Diarias: Pela Grande Harmonia entre Deus, a Natureza e o Ser Humano.

Germany---18th Europe Leaders' Workshop

The 18th Europe Leaders’ Workshop was held at a youth hostel in Neustatt in southwestern Germany from March 14 to 16. Thirty-six leaders from all over Europe studied the Truth. The breakdown of the attendees was: 24 from Germany, 5 from France, 4 from England, 2 from Austria, and 1 from Switzerland.

Brazil---52nd Brazil Hozo Shrine Festival

In Brazil, the 52nd Brazil Hozo Shrine Festival was held from April 12 to 13 at the Brazil Hozo Shrine in Ibiuna, Sao Paulo. The number of soul registers memorialized was 2,495,531, which was an increase of 81,681 (3.4%) from last year and a record. The festival on April 13 was attended by 18,000 people from not only Brazil but other Central and South American countries.

Romania---First SNI Lecture Meeting in Romania

On May 3, a Seicho-No-Ie lecture meeting was held at a public facility in Bucharest, the capital of Romania in eastern Europe. This was the first Seicho-No-Ie lecture meeting in that country and was attended by 25 people.
