Resource-Saving, Low-carbon Lifestyle

A resource-saving, low-carbon lifestyle refers to efforts to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from our daily lives and work by implementing resource-saving and energy-saving measures and utilizing renewable energy, such as solar power. For example, as a means of transportation with minimal environmental impact, using bicycles for shopping and commuting to school and work whenever possible reduces carbon dioxide emissions compared to using gasoline cars. The SNI Bicycle Club is part of the Project-Based System that undertakes concrete initiatives in this area.

We are also involved in other projects such as afforestation, installation of solar power plants, the promotion of electrical vehicles and fast chargers, the construction of zero energy buildings and ISO 14001 certification. Furthermore, we provide subsidies to SNI members for purchasing and installation of solar power generation systems, storage batteries, and electric vehicles.
