Special Lecture Meeting Held in 13 Countries in Latin America and Elsewhere

The Number of Attendees Totals 1,179

On October 26, a Special Lecture Meeting was held in 13 countries in Latin America and elsewhere. The number of attendees totaled 1,179.

In Latin American countries, examinations and workshops for Regional Lecturers and Enlightenment Leaders are held twice a year, and Ordained/Assistant Ministers are dispatched to each country from the Brazil Missionary Headquarters to provide guidance. On the day before the Examination, the Special Lecture Meeting is held for new people in order to disseminate the Truth.

The languages used at the Lecture Meeting were Spanish in Argentine, Bolivia, Chile, Columbia, Spain, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela; and Portuguese in Portugal and Angola in Africa. The lecturers included Rev. Yoshio Mukai (Ordained Minister, Bishop of Seicho-No-Ie Latin America), and Rev. Marie Murakami (Ordained Minister, Chairperson of Brazil Missionary Headquarters).

The topics at the Lecture Meeting were the same in every country: Lecture 1 was on “Prayer Opens the Door to Happiness,” and Lecture 2 on “The Secret to Drawing Happiness and Prosperity.”

In Argentina and Mexico the Lecture Meeting took place at two sites. Bolivia drew 200 attendees, the greatest number of attendees of all countries. Rev. Heitor Miyazaki (Ordained Minister), who guided the Lecture Meeting there said: the attendees were deeply moved, many attendees stayed even after the meeting was over, many Seicho-No-Ie books were sold, and there were many requests for divine healing as well.

In the Republic of Angola, where Seicho-No-Ie Angola was incorporated in March of last year, the Lecture Meeting was held on the same day as in the other countries. It was attended by 54 people.

Comments from the attendees included: “I was losing self-respect and was preoccupied with negative thinking. The lectures shed light on my mind and I remember every word of the lectures.” (Spain)

Remarks by Rev. Yoshio Mukai, Bishop of Seicho-No-Ie Latin America

“When holding the Special Lecture Meeting, we have the problem that there are countries with no Seicho-No-Ie buildings. However, local lecturers and leaders, who are Government employees, make it possible for us to use a conference room of the City Assembly Hall or public facility. With every Lecture Meeting, the local leaders are growing and the Lecture Meeting itself is becoming great.”
