.Study of the “Movement that Grows with Nature”

The 22nd Republic of Korea Leaders’ Workshop was held on March 11 at the Kwang Myong Hoy in Daegu. The number of attendees was 58.

The objective of the Workshop was to study the teachings based on the content of last July’s Seicho-No-Ie Special Conference for World Peace held in Germany and last August’s Public Lecture held in England and also to deepen the leaders’ understanding of the “Movement that Grows with Nature” and help form a common awareness.

Rev. Natsuki Yamamoto (Assistant Minister, Assistant Chief of Asia, Europe and Oceania Section, International Department) was dispatched from the International Headquarters as a lecturer. He guided through the interpretation of Rev. Jeong Ho Kim (Assistant Minister, Vice Chairman of Kwang Myong Hoy). Rev. Jeong Hee Kim (Assistant Minister, Chairman of Kwang Myong Hoy) also provided guidance.

In the first workshop Rev. Yamamoto gave a lecture, “On the Sundial Way of Life—Its Relationship to the Faith-Life.” In the second workshop, “Study of the Thinking of the ‘Office in the Forest,’” he explained the significance of the International Headquarters’ move to the “Office in the Forest.” In the third workshop, Rev. Jeong Hee Kim lectured on “Let’s Live a Life That Coexists with Nature!” and stressed the importance of practicing the faith in our daily life that everything in the universe is a manifestation of God’s life.

Comments from the attendees included: “It was a wonderful workshop which gave us a new sense of mission. I will try hard to expand the ‘Movement that Grows with Nature’ for the sake of the environment”; and “As we pursue the Truth, it is natural to deal with the protection of nature. I will start from small things to protect nature.” Rev. Yamamoto commented, “The attendees were all enthusiastic students. During the Q&A session they actively asked questions and voiced comments. I will continue to stay in close touch with the Kwang Myong Hoy and cooperate in their efforts to promote the Movement.”
