Japan--- Rev. Masanobu Taniguchi Gives A Message at New Year’s Celebration

On January 1, 2012 a New Year’s Celebration was held at the Seicho-No-Ie Headquarters in Harajuku, Tokyo. This year, four sites were connected via the Internet for the first time for the transmission of the programs. These sites were the Headquarters, Seicho-No-Ie Main Temple. Uji Temple, and Fuji Kawaguchiko Spiritual Training Center.

Japan--- New Year’s Celebration Shown at Four Sites through Internet Connection

On January 1, 2012, as the first attempt, the Seicho-No-Ie Headquarters and the Main Temple were connected via the Internet for two-way transmission of the New Year’s Celebration at the Headquarters and the Ryugu Sumiyoshi Hongu New Year’s Gratitude Ceremony and Holy Missioners’ Holy Spirit Installment Ceremony at the Main Temple.

Japan--- “Office in the Forest” Introduced in An Architecture Journal

The environmentally-friendly design of the “Office in the Forest,” which Seicho-No-Ie is currently building on the southern slope of Mt. Yatsugatake, Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture for completion date of March 2013, was covered in the January 2012 issue of the Shin-Kenchiku, a technical journal of architecture (published monthly by Shin-Kenchikusha).

Brazil--- Youth Dream Is Certain to Come True

In Brazil, a National Children’s Convention/Children’s Speech Contest (Portuguese) was held on October 15 at the Brazil Missionary Headquarters in Sao Paulo. On October 22 a National Children and Junior Speech Contest (Japanese) was held. A total of 1,176 people participated.

Hong Kong--- A New Readers’ Meeting Site Started

Readers’ Meetings were held at six sites in Hong Kong from October 14 to 19 of last year. From the International Headquarters Rev. Mamoru Amachi (Assistant Minister; Asia, Europe and Oceania Section, International Department), who can guide in Japanese and Chinese, was dispatched as a lecturer.
