Two New Readers’ Meeting Sites Started in Hong Kong

Six Readers’ Meeting Sites Draw a Total of 13 Newcomers

In Hong Kong, Readers Meetings were held from June 3 to 8 at six locations, including Tung Lo Wan Bay. Rev. Mamoru Amachi (Assistant Minister, Asia, Europe and Oceania Section, International Department), who can guide directly in Chinese, was dispatched from the International Headquarters as a lecturer.

The Hong Kong and Republic of China Joint One-Day Truth Realization Seminar held in March of this year was attended by 60 people, including newcomers. The attendees who were moved at the Seminar decided to launch two Readers’ Meetings, increasing the total number of Readers’ Meeting sites to seven (five Chinese-language Meetings, one Japanese-language Meeting, one English-language Meeting). The Movement in Hong Kong is energized.

Of the seven, the six Readers’ Meetings sites carried out active promotional activities by phoning Seminar attendees, neighbors and friends, and so forth. As a result, the total number of attendees was 58, including 13 newcomers.

At each site, Rev. Amachi used, as his text, Nyoi Jizai no Seikatsu 365-Sho (365 Golden Keys to a Completely Free Life, Chinese-version, Japanese-version and English-version, depending on the site). His lectures were on “Plunge Right Into the True Image” and “Your Fate Depends Upon Your Mind.” He explained the relationship between the True-Image world and the phenomenal world and urged the attendees to practice the Sundial Way of Life in their daily lives.

The Readers’ Meeting (Chinese) held on June 5 was one of the two Readers’ Meeting sites which were recently started. The female site leader, who attended the Joint Truth Realization Seminar in March, was deeply moved and launched it. Thirteen people including five newcomers attended. The newcomers actively asked questions about their personal lives, such as “How does one improve his environment?” and “How can one prosper?”

The Readers’ Meeting (Chinese) held on June 6 was attended by 10 people (three newcomers), including a family of four. In addition to lectures, they practiced the “Shinsokan to Achieve Reconciliation,” for the attendees who had interpersonal problems.

Rev. Amachi commented, “The local followers’ level of understanding about the teachings is improving. There are many cases where their problems have been solved through the practice of the teachings. I was most happy to hear it. I believe that this is thanks to the continued holding of the Readers’ Meetings by the leaders. From now on I would like to provide support toward developing Propagators and the birth of a Regional Lecturer in Hong Kong.”
