The Hong Kong and Republic of China Joint Truth Realization Seminar (overnight, 2 days) was held from March 5 to 6 at the Hong Kong China Christian Youth Center on Kowloon Island in Hong Kong. The number of attendees totaled 93, including 30 newcomers. Of the attendees, 60 were from Hong Kong, 29 from the Republic of China (Taiwan), and 4 from Yunnan, China.

The objective of the Seminar was to offer a chance for the followers in Hong Kong and Taiwan to make one another’s acquaintance, study the teachings together and energize the propagation activities in the Chinese language. This was the first time that Hong Kong and Taiwan had held a Truth Realization Seminar jointly.

Rev. Masanori Morita (Ordained Minister, Bishop of Seicho-No-Ie Republic of China) and Rev. Chen Bor Horng (Ordained Minister) were dispatched from the International Headquarters as lecturers. They provided guidance, using as their texts Chinese translations of Seimei no Jisso (Truth of Life), Vol. 7 by Rev. Masaharu Taniguchi, Shinko ni yoru Heiwa no Michi (Realizing Peace by Faith) by Rev. Masanobu Taniguchi, and other publications.

Rev. Morita gave two lectures, “Seicho-No-Ie’s View of God” and “Let’s Practice the Seicho-No-Ie Way of Life.” He explained that the world which God created is perfect and harmonious and that the faith in the God of absolute goodness leads to the realization of the True Image. Rev. Chen guided the sessions: “Explanation and Practice of Mind Purification Ceremony” and “Explanation and Practice of Shinsokan for Mutual Prayer.”

A first-time male attendee from Yunnan, China, who found the information on Seicho-No-Ie on the Internet and came with his mother and wife, commented, “I was deeply moved by the teaching that man is a child of God. I would like to convey the teaching to many people.”

Rev. Morita remarked, “The heightened awareness of the leaders in Hong Kong is great. In this Seminar there was a good hint for the Movement’s growth in the future.
