Support for the victims of the Great Earthquake/Tsunami is being received from all around the world, including warm prayers and donations.

In Brazil, on March 17, the seventh day after the disaster, the Brazil Missionary Headquarters held a memorial service for the victims. It was attended by 213 people. It was also covered by three television stations. Also, the Brazil Missionary Headquarters translated into Portuguese and Spanish Rev. The United States Missionary Headquarters has translated the President’s two prayers into English. They are included in the reading of the Holy Sutra at each Missionary Center. In addition, there is a project to fold paper cranes and also donate more than $1 and send them to the affected Missionary Centers. As of mid-April, the donations totaled $26,110 (approx. 2,130,000 yen). In Canada, 24-hour continuous reading of the Holy Sutra was held from April 8 to 9. Twenty people participated and the reading of the Holy Sutra totaled 55 times.

In Europe, the reading of the Holy Sutra was held every Wednesday at the Frankfurt Office in Germany. In England, about 50 attendees of a Readers’ Meeting collected donations totaling about 300 pounds (approx. 42,000 yen).
