Rev. Taniguchi Masanobu gives An Address at the Seicho-No-Ie Founding Day Celebration

Let’s Promote the Sundial Way of Life by Making Best Use of Each Individual’s Strong Points

The 82nd Seicho-No-Ie Founding Day Celebration/Ceremony to Commemorate Seicho-No-Ie Presidency Succession was held from 10:00 a.m. on March 1 at the Seicho-No-Ie Headquarters in Harajuku, Tokyo. Rev. Masanobu Taniguchi, President of Seicho-No-Ie, gave a 15-minute address from 10:42 a.m. in his capacity as the Superintendent.

Rev. Taniguchi began his message by pointing out the fact that the “Sundial Way of Life” proposed in the first issue of the Seicho-No-Ie monthly magazine is now being promoted through such tools as the Sundial Diary, postingjoy and readers’ meetings which emphasize skills and artistic sensibilities.

The President next referred to his newly-published collection of short stories (second book) entitled Konna Tokoroni…(Here Is…., published by Seicho-No-Ie). He explained that in his past books he had used a logical technique in elaborating on the teaching that evil is nonexistent but in his new book he is dealing with it from different angles in a form of short stories. Referring to the story, “Letter” as an example, Rev. Taniguchi said that he had received an inspiration from Ko Atoda’s short story, which depicts a protagonist who continues to receive dark messages. Conversely, Rev. Taniguchi wrote about a protagonist who continues to receive bright messages of the Sundial Way of Life and changed.

In concluding his message, Rev. Taniguchi stressed that if people of various occupations, and strong points and hobbies widely promote the Sundial Way of Life in many areas, the Movement will develop into a broader scale.

The Seicho-No-Ie Founding Day Celebration was held in the presence of Rev. Masanobu Taniguchi, President of Seicho-No-Ie, and Mrs. Junko Taniguchi, President of Seicho-No-Ie White Dove Association.
