Electric Cars Introduced at Three Seicho-No-Ie Business Offices for the First Time

Automobile Purification and Dedication Ceremonies held

As a part of the Zero Carbon Movement, Seicho-No-Ie has purchased three electric automobiles for the first time in order to keep down CO2 emissions from the use of automobiles and contribute to the realization of low-CO2 society. On January 7, automobile purification and dedication ceremonies were held at the parking lot of the Headquarters in Harajuku, Tokyo.

The model purchased is Mitsubishi i-MiEV. Three of them were purchased on a five-year lease contract. One car each will be allocated to the Headquarters Office, Tokyo Missionary Area, No.1 (Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo), and Headquarters Spiritual Training Center (Chofu City, Tokyo.).

The automobile purification and dedication ceremonies were attended by Rev. Kazuo Isobe, Chairman and CEO of Seicho-No-Ie; Rev. Tatsufumi Yukishima, Vice Chairman of Seicho-No-Ie; Rev. Takayuki Nakamura, Vice Chief of Tokyo Missionary Area No.1; Rev. Ichiro Sano, Managing Director of the Headquarters Spiritual Training Center; and Rev. Mikio Tojima, Chief of General Affairs Department, Seicho-No-Ie Headquarters.

The automobile purification ceremony started at 9:40 a.m. After the purification and Invocation, the supplication was read by the Head Priest. It ended with the Affirmation of Perfect Peace and Harmony.

This was followed by the automobile dedication ceremony. Rev. Isobe handed golden replica keys to Reverends Yukishima, Nakamura, and Sano.
