Eco-Bags and Acrylic Fiber Scrub Brush

Toronto, Canada

At the 51st International Spiritual Training Seminar held in the outskirts of Toronto in October of this year, we gave acrylic scrub brushes to the participants. A member of the Toronto Missionary Area had hand-made them and donated a large quantity.

An acrylic scrub brush is made from 100% wool left over from knitting. Because the acrylic fiber sucks up small stains, stains comes off easily so that a cleaner is not needed. It is environmentally friendly. The 20 participants were happy to take them home. This pleased the member who made them. She said, “I would like to make more of them.”

Also, a member in the Vancouver area made 30 attractive Eco-bags, using left-over cloth and donated cloth. She sold them at the flea market held every year in the area. The effort to make good use of things continues, even in a small way, among Seicho-No-Ie members in Canada.
