Eco-Bags made from Recycled Plastic Bottles

Brazil

Last August, the Brazil Youth and Young Adult Association sold Eco-bags in commemoration of the Seicho-No-Ie Brazil National Convention (held in Sao Paulo), which was guided by Rev. and Mrs. Masanobu Taniguchi.

In Brazil, cotton Eco-bags are widely used, but these Eco-bags partially use recycled plastic bottles.

One of the designs is Brazilian plants and birds. There are several types. Printed on all of the bags is, in Portuguese, “The Young Generation of Seicho-No-Ie Family Which Protects the Environment.” The emblem of the International Peace by Faith Movement is also printed, and it is an advertisement for Seicho-No-Ie.

This bag is sold for about 600 yen at the Youth and Young Adult Associations across the country. It is also given as a gift to people who purchase many copies of Seicho-No-Ie publications at the Missionary Headquarters or spiritual training centers. Nearly 16,000 bags have been sold in about a year after its sale began. It is sturdy and is used by housewives when they go shopping and by children when they go to school. The Eco-bags are popular.
