THREE NATIONAL EVENTS HELD IN JAPAN

White Dove Association National Leaders' Seminar, Brotherhood Association and Prosperity Society Joint National Leaders' Seminar, and Youth and Young Adult Association National Convention Held

Theme of the Events "Bright Future Begins with the Practice of the 'Sundial Way of Life'"

On May 1, the First Seicho-No-Ie White Dove Association National Leaders’ Seminar was held at three sites: the main site was the Omiya Sonic City Hall in Saitama City; and sub-sites were the Uji Temple and Fukuoka Missionary Center. On May 2, the First Seicho-No-Ie Brotherhood Association and Prosperity Society Joint National Leaders’ Seminar was held at the Meiji Jingu Kaikan in Shibuya, Tokyo. On May 3, the 61st Seicho-No-Ie Youth and Young Adult Association National Convention was held at the same Meiji Jingu Kaikan in Tokyo.

The events were open to leaders only: branch heads and those above, female heads of Regional Lecturers Society and School Personnel Society for the White Dove Association Seminar; those above the heads of unit Brotherhood Associations and middle-aged members for the Brotherhood Association, and officers of Prosperity Society branches and those above, and male heads of Regional Lecturers Society and School Personnel Society. The Youth and Young Adult Association National Convention was open to both members and non-member young people.

For the White Dove Association, and the Brotherhood Association and Prosperity Society, this was their first National Leaders’ Seminar. Last year, both Associations held National Conventions for leaders only, in accordance with the Zero Carbon Movement. This year’s naming of the events made clear the admission eligibility and content.

These three events were attended by a total of 9,061 people. Rev. Masanobu Taniguchi, President of Seicho-No-Ie; and Mrs. Junko Taniguchi, President of Seicho-No-Ie White Dove Association, gave lectures at all the events.

Rev. Masanobu Taniguchi lectured for one hour at each event.

Mrs. Junko Taniguchi lectured for 40 minutes at the White Dove Association and for 30 minutes at each the Brotherhood Association and Prosperity Society and the Youth and Young Association.

At the White Dove Association Leaders’ Seminar, Rev. Taniguchi stressed that the sundial way of life requires both “meditation” and “practice.” He said that we should not only discover that the world in front of us is filled with true appearances but that discovery must become a force to change the physical world. He emphasized that it is more important now than ever before that we act to manifest the True Image world, where “man and nature are originally one.” He also said that the awareness with which we live each day determines whether or not we can receive high-level ideas from the spiritual world (subconsciousness, in psychological terms). If we live each day, tuned to the True Image, we can make correct choices and live each day normally in a way that benefits society.

At the Brotherhood Association and Prosperity Society Joint National Leaders’ Seminar, Rev. Taniguchi touched upon the problems of economic recession and increased global warming. What the world needs now is a new idea and new way of life and the confusion in the economic world provides a chance to reorganize and restructure the world. He emphasized the importance that we begin developing a new economic and social system which allows the coexistence of humanity and nature.

At the Youth and Young Adult Association National Convention, Rev. Taniguchi taught that man is a child of God and has God’s nature within himself and that such attributes manifest to the degree to which one recognizes them. He called upon the attendees to receive the guidance of high-level spirits by practicing Shinsokan every day and live as children of God who shoulder the future society.

Mrs. Junko Taniguchi lectured for 40 minutes at the White Dove Association National Leaders’ Seminar; and 30 minutes each at the Brotherhood Association and Prosperity Society Joint National Leaders’ Seminar and the Youth and Young Adult Association National Convention.

At the White Dove Association National Leaders’ Seminar, Mrs. Taniguchi spoke about her book, Totsuzen no Koi (Sudden Romance) and introduced the fact that Rev. Taniguchi pointed out that there is no such thing as “sudden romance.” She explained that what appears to be a coincidence is actually what one’s mind draws according to the law of affinity. She cautioned against seeking miracles or extraordinary phenomenon. And she stressed that it is important to be grateful for the ordinary and always visualize the absolute goodness of the True Image world in one’s daily life.

At the Brotherhood Association and Prosperity Society Joint National Leaders’ Seminar, Mrs. Taniguchi shared her memories of the time when she first met Rev. Masanobu Taniguchi. She then said that as our mental attitude, outlook and viewpoint broaden, we find that there are more lucky coincidences than we imagine.

At the Youth and Young Adult Association National Convention, Mrs. Taniguchi stressed that one’s thoughts forge one’s fate and life. Although one’s spouse, or “better-half,” is a child of God and perfect, one finds in him/her the elements of one’s own perfection that are not fully expressed. She taught that the most important in a marriage should be how we can contribute to improving one’s spouse’s life.

The number of attendees was 6,164 for the White Dove Association National Leaders’ Seminar, 1,811 for the Brotherhood Association and Prosperity Society Joint National Leaders’ Seminar (1,353 for the Brotherhood Association, 458 for the Prosperity Society), and 1,086 for the Youth and Young Adult Association National Convention (834 were members).
