Harmony between Husband and Wife Leads to World Peace

In Brazil, a Truth Realization Seminar for Young Married People was held at two Spiritual Training Centers from May to June. A total of 591 people attended, including 481 married people and 110 of their children. Thirty percent of the married people (141 people) were first-timers.

This Seminar has been held since 1997 with the objective of helping realize prosperity, good health and children’s fine growth through harmony between husband and wife, and hence contribute to world peace. The theme of this year’s Seminar was “A Beautiful Love Story.” It aimed to have attendees experience mutual gratitude and praise.

The breakdown of the attendees by Seminar site was 101 for the Santa Tecla Spiritual Training Center in Rio Grande do Sul (held May 31-June 1), and 490 for the South American Spiritual Training Center in Sao Paulo (held June 21-22).

At both sites the Seminar was guided by Rev. Carlos Alberto da Silva (Assistant Minister, Chief of Brazil Youth and Young Adult Association), and other Regional Lecturers and Enlightenment Leaders. The texts used were Portuguese translations of Renai, Kekkon, Bosei (Romantic Love, Marriage, Motherhood) and Ai wa Kakushite Kannseisu (Love Hence Becomes Complete) by Rev. Masaharu Taniguchi and other publications. There were eight lectures, including “The Joy of Two people Living Together,” and “Affirmation of Happy Life Between Husband and Wife through Shinsokan.”

Also, there were three themes: “Family and Work,” “Children’s Education,” and “Jealousy and Flirtation.” The attendees divided into three groups by theme and received guidance from the lecturers. In addition, there were a Q&A session and a special program for the children.

According to the Brazil Youth and Young Adult Association, which sponsored the Seminar, many couples, who were separated in spirit, reconciled with each other, their hearts harmonized and they revealed their reconciliation. On the last day, when the children expressed their gratitude by presenting awards to their parents, the hall was filled with an atmosphere of deep spiritual upliftment.

A first-time male attendee in his thirties commented: “I was moved to learn the correct relationship between husband and wife. I would like to share this with other people.”
