Studying essential teachings
and the mission of unit organization

THE NUMBER OF ATTENDEES TOTALS 6,400

In Brazil, from the end of May to the middle of July, study classes for heads and leaders of unit organizations were held at Missionary Centers across Brazil under the joint sponsorship of the Brotherhood Association, White Dove Association, Youth and Young Adult Association, Prosperity Society, Lecturers’ Association, and School Personnel Society. The number of attendees totaled 6,404, which was an increase of 1,656 over last year.

The Study Class is held once a year. After the regular elections held this year, many new people assumed leadership positions. The theme of the Study Class was Seicho-No-Ie’s three fundamental teachings: Only God-Created perfect world exists, all phenomena are manifestations of only mind, and All Religions Emanate from One Universal God, as well as the mission of the unit organizations. The objective was to have leaders reaffirm the essential teachings and arouse enthusiasm for the Movement.

Shown at each Missionary Center was the video of the lecture by Rev. Yoshio Mukai (Ordained Minister, Bishop of Seicho-No-Ie Latin America): “Three important Religious Practices to Capture the Awareness of the God-Created World.” The Study Classes were guided by a total of 113 Ordained/Assistant Ministers, Regional Lecturers and Enlightenment Leaders, including Rev. Sinji Takahashi (Ordained Minister, Secretary of Central Propagation Organization Delegates Conference Office), Rev. Olimpio Kitahara (Ordained Minister, a Director of Brazil Missionary Headquarters) and Rev. Junji Miyaura (Ordained Minister, Vice Chairman of Brazil Missionary Headquarters).

The texts used included Portuguese translations of Seimei no Jisso (Truth of Life), Volumes 11 and 38, and Seikatsu no Chie 365-Sho (365 Golden Keys to the Summit of Fulfillment) by Rev. Masaharu Taniguchi, Shinkou-niyoru-Heiwa-no-Michi (Realizing Peace by Faith) by Rev. Masanobu Taniguchi.

During the lecture, “The Mission of the Unit Organizations,” they studied the mission of the unit as having the responsibility to disseminate the teachings and the significance of a spiritual training seminar. Also detailed explanations were provided on how to handle such financial matters as the sale of Seicho-No-Ie books, fees for Holy Mission Fellowship, Divine Healing, and ancestor memorial service as well as how to acquire funds for various activities.

Comments received from the attendees included: “As I got a new responsibility, I felt greatly encouraged by the Seminar just before my term begins. I would like to work hard for propagation.”

Remarks by Rev. Yoshio Mukai,

Bishop of Seicho-No-Ie Latin America

“Since those who were newly elected by the regular election attended, we guided from the basics of the teachings and the Movement as well as the mission of the unit organization. I expect that the attendees make good use of what they learned at the Seminar in their day-to-day work and that the activities are carried out smoothly.”
