REV. MASANOBU TANIGUCHI’S ADDRESS AT THE SEICHO-NO-IE DELEGATES CONFERENCE

Express True Appearances of Things Based on Sundial Way of Life

Rev. Masanobu Taniguchi, Vice President of Seicho-No-Ie, gave an address for 31 minutes from 11:20 a.m. at the Seicho-No-Ie Delegates Conference held on February 29.

In his message Rev. Taniguchi explained the significance of the new kind of Readers’ Meeting proposed in the Movement Policy, which makes use of the host’s technical or artistic talent. He stressed that we need to use the right-side brain more, which controls artistic activity, in addition to the left-side brain, which controls logical activity.

The Vice President took note of the fact that we are promoting “a Movement that Grows With Nature” in order to change the greed-centered way of life, which is a cause of global warming and exhaustion of natural resources. He said that what is needed now, more than ever before, is the faith that the true world which God created is perfect.

Rev. Taniguchi next urged that we practice the sundial way of life as a way to resolve current problems and proposed that we accept with gratitude the true appearances of things which manifest in the environment and nature by using technical and artistic expressions at Readers’ Meetings. He emphasized the importance of being grateful for God’s blessings that have been already accorded us and focusing squarely on the movement to spread the joy of them to many people.

In concluding his address, the Vice President strongly urged that a new movement be created at the frontline, keeping in mind the key phrase, “grow with nature.”

The Seicho-No-Ie Delegates Conference was held with the attendance of Rev. Masanobu Taniguchi, Vice President of Seich-No-Ie, and Mrs. Junko Taniguchi, Vice President of the White Dove Association. Also in attendance were 840 people, including Seicho-No-Ie Missionary Councilors, as well as domestic and overseas officers. There was an explanation of the Movement Policy as well as a Q&A session.
