DR. KHALED ABOU EL FADL RECEIVES THE LEO EITINGER HUMAN RIGHTS PRIZE

Dr. Khaled Abou El Fadl, a professor of law at UCLA, a guest lecturer at last August’s Seicho-No-Ie Special Conference for World Peace, who gave a keynote lecture, has recently received the Human Rights Award, The Lisl and Leo Eitinger Prize.

The Award was created by the Oslo University in Norway to honor the work of Prof. Leo Eitinger (1912-1996), a professor of psychiatric medicine at the University, who devoted his life to human rights protection and the abolishment of racial discrimination. Candidates for the Award are mainly scholars and writers from around the world who have contributed to human rights activity or research. The Award is given almost every year. Past recipients of the Award include Elie Wiesel, a winner of the Nobel Prize for Peace.
