Dr. Abou El Fadl Receives Leo Eitinger Prize

Dr. Khaled Abou El Fadl, a professor of law at UCLA, a guest lecturer at last August’s Seicho-No-Ie Special Conference for World Peace, who gave a keynote lecture, has recently received the Human Rights Award, The Lisl and Leo Eitinger Prize.

Hawaii--Leaders Workshop and Public Lecture Meeting

On November 10, 2007, a Leaders’ Workshop (English) was held at the Seicho-No-Ie Hawaii Jisso Center on Oahu, Hawaii. On the following day a Public Lecture Meeting was held at the Ala Moana Hotel (in English in the morning and in Japanese in the afternoon).

From November 10 to 13, 2007, a Joint Readers’ Meeting was held in Indonesia and Thailand. The number of attendees totaled 37.Rev. Natsuki Yamamoto (Assistant Minister, Assistant Chief of the Asia, Europe and Oceania Section, International Department) was dispatched from the International Headquarters as a lecturer.
